The Giving Mood is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity. We received our non-profit tax-exempt status effective April 16, 2021. We aim to promote charitable giving, especially in young children. And in doing so, we hope to foster an understanding and awareness of a variety of worthy causes in order to facilitate charitable action.

Eunice Kim | Founder & Director

As someone who was born into a Christian family, charity has been a part of my life for many years. Now that I have two young children of my own, I want to teach them and others the importance of charitable giving and the impact that even small donations can make. While we donate to many different kinds of charities, my favorites are Operation Smile, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. But I am eager and excited to learn about other charities and how The Giving Mood (TGM) can help. I would hope that, through our charity, people can meet others who share the same values and hopefully even form new friendships.

I love being a mom, traveling, fine art, opera, making people laugh and am obsessed with the following: sudoku, scrabble, sushi, true crime documentaries and plastic surgery before-and-after shows.

I received my B.A. in political science from NYU and previously worked in large global law firms for over 10 years. I now work at one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies (which makes life-saving vaccines and cancer treatments among other things) in the Intellectual Property group. I started TGM as a way to be more directly involved in helping to make a difference. As I am blessed to have everything I need, I would like to dedicate time and effort to helping others.
