SUNSET TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE WALK-A-THON
DATE TBD : The Giving Mood will be hosting a walk-a-thon across the Tappan Zee Bridge (now Mario Cuomo Bridge) as we watch the sunset. We will walk for those who cannot in support of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. This will be an open donation with 100% of all money raised going directly to the Reeve Foundation. TGM will provide water and snacks for the approx. 80-minute walk.

Holiday Vendor Event to support OPERATION SMILE
12/6/2023-12/7/2023 : Eunice Kim will be promoting Color Street products and donating the commission to Operation Smile and getting her company Merck’s 100% match as well. This charity was the first charity TGM donated to before it was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) charity by the IRS in April 2021. Operation Smile is dedicated to helping children born with cleft lip/palate get the surgery they need to be able to live life normally, eat and drink without any difficulties, and give them their self-esteem and confidence back.

Our TGM founder has joined a creative company to do as a fun side venture in an effort to increase her own personal giving which she is able to have matched at 100% by her employer, Merck. Since June 2021, she has donated over $17,000 so far (up thru December 1, 2023) and with the match, a total of $34,000 was donated mostly to Memorial Sloan Kettering, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, UNICEF, United Help Ukraine, American Liver Foundation, ALS Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Operation Smile and No Kid Hungry with portions to National Breast Cancer Foundation, RAINN, Susan G Komen, Donors Choose, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Stanford Cancer Institute, We Are A Light, Semper Fi & America’s Fund, RescueMe.org and United Help Ukraine (copies of receipts available upon request). In addition, she has discovered a big passion for graphic design and donates 100% of her earnings from logo design to Memorial Sloan Kettering and the American Diabetes Association.

ONGOING EVENT : CHARITY VIRTUAL BINGO NIGHT
For the past year since April 2020, Eunice has been hosting Virtual Bingo Night (VBN) and donating portions to charity. She has also done two separate collaborations with non-profit charity CB CUBED FOUNDATION which donated 100% to from those events to Operation Smile.
From April 2020-April 2021 through VBN and collaborations, we have raised over $2500 so far for Operation Smile, an organization that provides cleft lip/palate surgeries for children across the world. One surgery costs only $240 and that can change a child’s life forever both physically and mentally as it allows for young babies to drink from a bottle, chew and eat food easily and simply be able to smile with self esteem. Unfortunately many children with cleft lips/palates are bullied for their appearance, yet this physical mark can be corrected so easily with our help.
ONGOING: With the creation of The Giving Mood in April 2021, the VBN will now be promoted by TGM and portions from each week’s game over the next few weeks will be donated next to Prevent Child Abuse America at the end of May 2021.
